The Depth of SADGASM delves into the raw and complex intersection of pleasure and pain. The title merges the words “sad” and “orgasm,” symbolizing the paradox of emotional experiences that feel both painful and intensely satisfying. The “depth” signifies a profound exploration of these emotions, where darkness and pleasure coexist in a strangely alluring, yet uncomfortable harmony. This album takes the listener on a journey through the intricacies of human emotion, reflecting on how joy and sorrow can be intertwined in unexpected and powerful ways.

2020 was supposed to be the year of SADGASM, but life had other plans. The album was postponed due to mental health struggles and an intense battle with generalized anxiety.

“I had to put everything on hold. I went through some really dark times, and anxiety completely took over me. I couldn’t create, yet I desperately needed to let it all out.”

Two years later, in 2022, SADGASM was finally released. But it wasn’t just an album—it was a confession, a catharsis, a sonic diary of pain and resilience.

“This album is a mix of sadness, anxiety, and so many other heavy feelings, but at the same time, it was liberating. I needed to get all of this out of me. It was the only way I could turn my inner chaos into something real.”

The sound of SADGASM is a direct reflection of this emotional whirlwind. With intense beats, dark lyrics, and heavy atmospheres, the album became Fred Warner’s most personal, raw, and visceral work to date.

This album made me reflect a lot on my life, and it is the most professional album I have ever made—the one I am most proud of. It has an intense and violent sound, achieving the sonic identity I was aiming for, blending aggression with vulnerability in a way that feels both cathartic and unapologetic. Every track carries a raw energy, a sense of urgency, as if I was pouring every last bit of myself into the music.

A crucial part of this process was Saint Dy, the singer and producer who played an essential role in shaping several tracks. Through his creative input in songwriting, mixing, and mastering, he opened new perspectives for Fred, particularly in melody crafting. The mixing process, in particular, was an intense challenge—some tracks went through countless versions before the final one was chosen.

Each mix was refined through trial and error, an exhaustive process of shaping and reshaping the sound until it perfectly captured the essence of the album. Every decision was driven by raw emotion, ensuring that nothing sounded artificial or devoid of feeling. The level of dedication and meticulous attention to detail was exhausting, but absolutely necessary for the album to reach its full potential.

However, this version of the album is not the full version, because I still feel like I have much more to say within this project. To me, it has a “I want more” feeling, as if there are still pieces of the story left untold, emotions yet to be fully unraveled. I believe it will only be complete with the deluxe version, which I am already working on—pushing boundaries even further, refining the sound, and expanding the vision of what SADGASM truly represents.

I incorporated a lot of influences from hip-hop, alternative music, and electronic music, blending them into something that feels uniquely mine. The process of making this album taught me so much—not only about music and production but also about myself. It was a journey of self-discovery, frustration, breakthroughs, and ultimately, artistic liberation. In many ways, SADGASM is more than just an album. It is a statement, a sonic embodiment of chaos, beauty, and transformation.

In the end, SADGASM is more than just an album. It’s a bold statement, a transformation, a raw and unfiltered portrait of chaos turned into art.
